This Saturday at Kips, Once Again!

Just got the word from the Mighty Fitz, who books us ( and every other cool Irish act going ) and he says this Saturday, coming up, is Kips once agin! Which makes Paul and I very happy!

Now if the Table of Fun comes back with a bunch more friends ( we are still working on what the heck the song with Whhaay-hey-hey is that you want ) and a bunch of you other folks, ( you know who you are! ) and some new friends, all come down, we will have a , well, proper time in the Pub!

See you on Saturday, 9-12!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to be on the Table of Fun! waaah.

Thursday Lori had the new addition, Nathan Xavier. (Nanny came down with a bacterial disease and we had to find a replacement, then the spinal block they gave Lori didn't work -- it turned out the doctor hadn't actually administered any pain medication.) Friday night I went home and discovered that my basement had flooded. Saturday afternoon I was in a seven car accident. (My poor, sweet Prius is totalled.) Sunday my uncle died. Nothing exciting has happened since then, though!

What in the name of all that is Holy?! I’m really sorry to hear about your recent “misfortunes” (that seems to be putting it as lightly as possible) but I’m glad you are taking things in stride. Congratulations on Nathan! I hope he and Mommy are doing great! Who is Nanny and is she doing better? I should try to find my way over to your blog so I could figure some of this out. Anyway, I wish you could be at the Table of Fun too! We all need out table of fun from time to time. Next time I see you, the first couple rounds are on me.

Thanks to everyone who comes out to see us! Also, please feel free to drop us song suggestions to learn.*

*No songs containing unicorns…unless they happen to be maiming some defenseless leprechauns.

Baby Nathan is awesome. He's all cute and round and well-tempered, unlike the last baby (Max) who was shriveled and angry looking all the time.

I'm dealing with insurance now, trying to get a decent amount of money for my poor car and figure out how to get my damaged possessions replaced or paid for. Hopefully they will deal honorably with me.

Best of luck Danth!! The Insurance Corps always seem like a headache. I am very sorry to hear of your er... hiccups...especially with the Prius... but I am SOOOO Happy to hear about wee Nathan. Please pass my congrats on to Lori.

I wish I were there... really maybe I need to relocate... hmm, I wonder what the rent is like in that neck o the woods...

Not that I would end up hearing them but what about the songs from the Last Unicorn? I think they are great songs.... not sure where the violin would fit in though... unfortunately there is no maiming of wee greenies but they are nice and mournful songs... at least the two I am thinking about.

Ooh, good haiku! But I forgot a few things:

And then the ship would go down in a storm, and the unicorns would drown. With sound effects. And there would be a wake for the leprechauns. With whiskey and a brawl.

There, I think that covers it . . . at least the drinkin' and the dyin'. (Since it's all leprechauns and unicorns, let's avoid the "doin' it".)

Dan - Perhaps the unicorns could trample them, or sneak up on them and frighten them to death - or slay them by singing the Unicorn Song over and over and over . . .

"For it's good old reliable Nathan, Nathan, Nathan, Nathan Detroit..." sorry song clue. Dan; you named your son Nathan Xaiver? That's a very big name for such a tiny baby. He's also going to have fun learning how to write that name out when he's in the First Grade.
Lorraine, are you feeling up to performing? How is your ear? By the way what will you be wearing for the gig. Last Sunday I found a beautiful black lace skirt fit for a Goth Princess at this very high price Chic-chic shop in West Hollywood and get this it was only $15.00! I was shocked,; I kept asking ;"Are you sure it's only $15.00?" For that price I was tempted to buy 2 . It's a beauty and is perfect for my new corset which I've yet to wear. Sigh! "someday he'll come along.." another song clue. Speaking of songs, will you be singing the unicorn song Saturday? Well, I'm certain you'll be a crowd pleaser as always! Break a leg! Namaste

you know, I have to admit, since I saw 'The Ring' I am not so up on drowning horse-things... that put a good horror into me, especially since I travel by ferry a great deal.

maybe we should have a mini song writing contest!!

Yes, wish I could be with a table of fun too! Dan, tho, you surely need to have some fun - glad Nathan is fine, and hope Lori is feeling well - the pics were adorable. Hope you are getting proper reimbursement for your prius and didn't lose too much in the basement flood. You truly deserve a night out! I'll front a couple rounds for you as well! Take care, and Rubius, great haiku - it's too early for me to do much more than type this and drink coffee. Have a great weekend, all!
