Bees and Shows

Hello All!!!

No gig pictures this week, so here is a picture of me today out tending the Bees. Different, eh? No make-up needed and you can't wear black, the bees don't like it. More Bee pics over at lorraineamalena.com

We only played Friday night this week, at Charlie's. There were some great people there, and some, uh, NOT so much great people. I am going with drunk , very very drunk. ( you have to be very very drunk to offer to FLASH an Irish Band if they play Dave Mathews for you )

But the fun people who were there were some of our favourites, and the last half an hour , after the Very Very Drunk people had left, was lots of fun. Thanks everyone who stuck around till the end, it was well worth it. We had some good moments in the first set too, even knew some of the songs people were requested. Everyone seemed very into Paul's Going To Prison In Austraila Forever Songs, for some reason. ( I still think Paul has some past life issues he is resolving , hee-hee )

No gigs next weekend!!!! That hasn't happened in months. My garden is going to be very happy, I am thinking. I am still bugging The Mighty Fitz for gig info, but I think we can safely say June 8th and 9th will be at Charlie's.

Hope everyone has a great weekend , and a lovely week!

Love and FIddles,
Lorraine

I do want to be in the garden, my house needs so much and I am getting used to the fact that I am the one who needs to do it. Home owning is full of suprises!!!!

It will be strange tho not to be gigging for a whole weekend. Time off??? I am not sure I know what that means, hee-hee!

There is NEVER a time off when you have your own house. It is like having children. It always demand attention and care. And you do rather seem to be a busy lass...

I'd meant to ask you:
Do you (or Paul) write some of the songs you play, or are they traditionnal ?

Nothing like drunk people to send an evening off-kilter.

We had five drunk lacrosse players show up at Balticon Saturday night. They wandered around loudly proclaiming their love for the con and for the women in the skimpiest leather masquerade costumes. Then they retired to the ground floor to crowd around a piano in the hall on which they played Dr. Dre's "Forgot About Dre."
