Salsa, Gigs and a New CD Soon!!!!!

The one time both of us forget our cameras!!!!!!

Played McGarry's last night , which is very far away for me, but we love the owners and the staff. Very nice little place with GREAT food. The gig was nice and we were having a fine time , meeting new people and trying out a whole lot of new songs, when a Party Bus of women pulled up! They were all dressed in Sombreros and Mexican Skirts and had a bride to be with them. We played Mexican music for them ( well Irish, but , hey, like they knew at that point, anyway they loved it ) and it was Cinco de Mayo.....

And us with no camera!

Many thanks to Roadie Elizabeth!!! I know I was way to tired to take down my half of the PA and could not have done it without you! ( Paul, let's think about doubling her wages...)

I am going to be filling in for Paul Regge and playing with Bedlam this Tuesday night 9-1 at a new Irish Bar called Merlin's Rest ( 3601 E Lake St, Minneapolis ) Fun band, with John Sjogren from the Tim Malloys....I have told Paul ( of Paul and Lorraine, darn all these Paul's ) that he is required to come down and do a few songs with me!

( he may do as he is told or not, we go back and forth as to who is the Leader of our band, we settled it by getting a HAT and who ever has the HAT is the leader for that moment, hee-hee )

Looking forward to getting back to Charlie's next weekend, and having some fun. We are also, big announcement here, getting ready to record a cd, LIVE at Charlie's , over a couple of days! We are currently thinking early August, or earlier if we can make it happen. We are going to take a lot of photos, and hope to put our best ones on the cd booklet. More on this as it develops....

I can tell you this tho, we want you to be there!

( Posse, Fun 6th Anniversary Couple and the Couple who is bringing me the DVD of Waking Ned Devine, you are REQUIRED to be there! )

Love and Salsa and Music,
Lorraine

I used to have Way Too tires. They were fast, but a little unstable. Now that I'm a family man I stick to Good Enough tires.

I remember hanging out in the back row of the high school parking lot with my rusted out muscle car and shiny mag way too tires… Okay, I actually don’t remember that.

We had a great time at McGarry’s as always and I must admit that the party bus stopping by was a highlight! As far as pictures go, I actually had my camera along but it’s just so hard to take pictures and play a guitar at the same time. I’ll have to figure that out somehow.

Looking forward to Charlie’s again this weekend!

Right, now where did I put that extra chromosome….

Now I have this ditty in my head about way too tires getting in the way of way froom tires, and how they can never be made to collaborate.
And PROMISED I haven't even been drinking or smoking the carpet...

Paul , you could try to ask somebody in the audience to take pictures for you.
Too bad I can't come to the gigs, for you'd find my teleobjective getting in the way...

I don't know Ms. Fabulous...maybe you should ask Windy. Or is she reaching out to capture a rainbow?

Granted, everyone knows cows write odes, maybe sonnets, but not haiku. That's for the koi.

I have difficulties with anything thta involves counting syllables in English.

Not sure this will satisfy the Haiku Demon (It it doesn't throw it a waffle, it's partial to the things):

WAY away and beyond,
TOO far to reach, Lorraine toils,
TIRES and sings - Bliss.

Is "tires" one syllable or two? I suppose it could be either, to suit one's purposes.

On sheets of ice, or
When the road is way too steep,
you need Way Too Tires.

Please for you to know:
No real unicorn are harmed
in make Way Too Tires.

You may find yourself
way too far over the cliff
lacking Way Too Tires.
