Snowed in No More!!!!

Yes, sadly, we got snowed out last Saturday at Kips. I was sad, but Paul, who lives almost within walking distance was really sad...Couldn't do it tho, we were too snowed here, and I don't know I could have even got out of my Spooky House on the Hill.

This weekend tho will be different! I no longer park in my driveway, Heck, I no longer HAVE a driveway, it's too steep to plow, and too narrow, so I park on the street. ( Which costs me $15 a day in parking tickets, as I can't remember the darn system here. No one can, it's like Parking Roulette. Everyone tries to park on the side of the street with the most cars and the police rake in the $$$ every night....

We should have some mighty fine fun tho, and BOTH Paul and I have new cameras! SO we will be taking pics all weekend of YOU and posting them up here again next wekk......

Come see us, we are ready to go AND have some new songs to try out.

( including, rumour has it, one for the Birthday girl, Nicole on Friday! )

Love and Irish, Lorraine

What a silly parking system. I am sorry to hear you were snowed in... but I kind of wish I were you... I like being snowed in, really. I walk to work and Vancouver RARELY gets enough snow to make a 20-minute fairly-flat walk impossible so it is kind of difficult for me to claim snow as an impassable barrier (I wish I could though). let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!!!... in Vancouver.

I am SO not ready for winter! It's like I got so busy I forgot it was coming! I so wish I had somebody to shovel, we have a Good Sammariten Neighbour who snowblows the sidewalk, but my STEPS, I can hardly get up. Guess I am getting off the couch, which is NO bad thing!

Pictures!
(Can you catch a trend in that comment?)

I am surprise to read that there is hardly any snow in Vancouver. It being rather North I would have expected LOADS.

no, we are in the warmest bit of Canada.... coastal city, protected by mountains and Vancouver Island, we get a LOT of rain... which is good, after all we have rain-forests.

Lorraine...you can import me... I will shovel your walk!!! happily!!!

The gigs this weekend were BEYOND wonderful fun!!! Paul took lots of pics and is ging to do a full report..But tonight was magic. Sometimes I don't feel like I'm playing, it's just music flowing into and thru me, if that doesn't sound to silly....

It doesn't sound silly at all (it is very much the way I feel about writing a story: it just takes over) but truly magical (am I in awe because the technicality involved in playing an instrument).

That's the best feeling, when it's as if you aren't even playing. I like when it happens in debates too, as if you are suddenly possessed by a higher consciousness which speaks through you far more eloquently than you could without you even knowing the words before they come out of your mouth.
