Back up and running!
First off, a great big THANK YOU to everyone who had anything at all to do with the completion of my PhD. It's great to have it done and I'm looking forward to bigger and better things. But, I promise not to bore you too much with any tecchnobabble... well perhaps a little from time to time as denying one's true self is just not healthy!
Lorraine and I are extremely excited to do our live recording at Charlie's Pub on June 20th and 21st! I look forward to telling you all so much more about our future plans and the myriad of potential publishing options we have. (Okay, for any Greeks out there, we don't technically have 10,000 options, but we still have a lot.) More to follow soon! I will post a picture of the flyer I have made if anyone could use it.
Oh, and this whole naked blogging thing that everyone is talking about over at lorraineamalena.com, well I liked Kitty's standards for hotel rooms. Last time I was in a hotel, the a woman on the housekeeping staff entered my room while I was totally naked... ... ... finally. *impish grin*

The fact that you finished your PhD inspires me to get going on mine. Motivation is hard. I think you need to write a song for the CD about your "technobabble". Yup.
I expect to be at Charlie's on The Friday of the Live CD. I have a family thing in Iowa Saturday. I am spreading the word.

This show is going to be SO fun...I can't wait!!!
I would get my PhD too, but first I would have to finish high school, college, the masters....And in WHAT would I get it in????
You know... I spend a bit of time sort of regretting that I ever started the PhD. (What the hell was I thinking!?!)
Anyway... this show will rock. NAKD Blogging sounds like a title for a CD.

The only naked bloggng going on at my end is from the statues who get blogged.

Can't wait to party! I will be "live blogging" the gigs via Twitter. Everyone can follow my updates by checking out that page, or by creating a twitter account and "following" me so that updates are automatically sent to you via IM or text messaging.

What is this (working over each syllable) "set list" thing of which you speak? I remember hearing tales from my grandparents about strange creatures that wandered the Dakota plains at night, attracted by the smell of partially digested lutefisk. Is it something like that?
Silly Paul, remember your history..You are referring to an archaic practice used in the past, where bands would plan out what they are going to play when, during a gig.
I know, seems laughable now, these days doesn't it?
I used the term, whimsically, to mean we would post a list of what we played, after the fact.....
I mean, how could anyone know, before a gig, what song was needed when????
I would just like to point out that it is now 6 days until recording!!!!!!

Hey everyone! What a great time this weekend! I'm going through the pictures now and I'll have a post up tomorrow. Thank you all so much for everything and all the effort everyone put in to making the weekend a blast.
